Iris Surprise
The iris has a refinement that few flowers can approach. Surprise carries its rich purple tipped with white blooms on stems so slender and upright they seem to be making a point, arriving in February to August with the precision of something that has been practicing since autumn. In borders or pots, its upright stems give borders a sense of discipline and height. At the cutting garden stage, it is one of the most beautiful things you can put in a vase — alone or with other flowers, it holds its own completely. Dutch-grown for quality of form and colour, BLOM's iris bulbs are selected from growers who understand the difference between a flower that simply opens and one that opens beautifully.
